​Cedric Johnson a Florida native has had a love and passion for music for as long as he can remember. Born and raised in Bradenton, FL, Cedric comes from a long extensive background of music. Growing up under the leadership of his father’s church, Cedric acquired a love for music and a passion to sing.   Cedric’s music ventures began when he joined his church youth choir. In 1992 he continued singing in his high school choir at Southeast High School where he participated in multiple music ensemble groups such as the minnesingers, a 12-person ensemble that focused on complex harmonies and structured quartet chords. As Cedric traveled down the road of ensemble groups, it inspired him to form his own singing groups, ensembles and quartets that focused on smooth and melodic harmonies. For the next 12 years from 1993-2005, Cedric continued singing background vocals for multiple artists including 4 years with Walt Disney Choir at Candlelight Christmas events.  Cedric has also sung background vocals for Michael Speaks, Local Rap Groups, NewBreed, and other inspired artists.   During this time, Cedric evolved into a pianist to accompany his smooth vocal performances. Cedric self-taught himself to play piano using his ability to sing and hear harmonies through vocal and ear training.  In 2013, Cedric decided to take his singing experience to the next level by auditioning for “The Voice” in Los Angeles, CA, where he competed against thousands of other inspired vocalists and musicians. Since then, Cedric has continued to pursue his love and aspirations for music.  Cedric’s gospel roots will find him currently singing faithfully at his local church, but not limited to the extension of a large range of genres including, Jazz, Blues, R&B, Classical, Country, Hip Hop, Rock, and Reggae. Cedric heart’s desire is to bring uplifting music to his audience through smooth vocal and piano performances at local venders, Retirement Homes, Hospitals, Music Events, Restaurants, Weddings and other Live Events.
